Living in Spintex, Accra

Spintex Road is one of Accra's fastest-growing residential and commercial corridors, stretching from the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange eastward towards Tema. Over the past decade it has transformed from an industrial zone into a vibrant mixed-use area popular with young professionals, middle-class families, and the emerging tech and creative sector. The area offers significantly more affordable rents than East Legon or Cantonments while still providing good infrastructure, modern apartment developments, and excellent road connectivity. Spintex is home to several major supermarkets, international retail chains, hospitals, and schools, making it a self-contained community. It is particularly popular with tenants who work in Accra's commercial districts or at Kotoka Airport and want a shorter commute eastward.
